1. What is Alpha Translations?
Alpha Translations is a leading professional English to Polish and Polish to English translation agency. We are a team of professional translators with years of experience and a personal approach to each individual client. We believe in bringing people from abroad closer together with Poland.

2. How can I contact you?
Feel free to contact us via email, phone, or fax. For more details please go to the Contact section of our website.

3. How do I send you materials for translation?
In order to receive a free of charge and no obligation price quotation, please send your texts or documents to info@english-to-polish.com or by fax to 0048222072907.

4. What types of files can I send?
We accept both editable formats (preferably .doc, .ppt, .xls, .txt) and non-editable formats (preferably .pdf and .jpg). In case of editable files, we always keep the layout and formatting of the original. In case of scanned documents or images, we do our best to deliver files with layout and formatting that are similar to the original file.

5. How is the price of a translation calculated and is there a special rate for large projects?
We calculate the price based on the number of words in the source file or document. This way you will always know the exact price for your translation project before you proceed with your final order.
Yes, we do offer discounts for large projects of more than 10,000 words. Such a discount depends on a number of factors; therefore, there are no fixed discount rates available.
We also offer discounts for repetitions (i.e. identical fragments of the text), which are calculated using the professional software that we use. As far as interpreting projects are concerned, prices are calculated per hour; however, the minimum charge is for 4 hours. Travelling and accommodations costs for jobs that require travel are calculated separately. If you would like to accommodate our interpreter(s) at the hotel of your choice and pay for it yourself – please let us know.

6. How can I calculate the word count?
Without professional software you can calculate the word count by using MS Word (under Tools – Word Count). The software that we use enables you to do that with over 30 file formats. Therefore, if you cannot check the word count yourself, we will do that for you free of charge.

7. How long will my translation take and do you charge extra for rush translations?
The time of delivery depends on each individual project. Therefore, it is difficult to say without seeing the text. However, the average delivery time for a text of 2,500 words is under 48 hours.
We offer rush translations for an additional fee. ‘Rush’ means delivery within 24 hours or a project that requires translation of over 2,000 words per business day (for example, a project of 25,000 words to be delivered in 6 days). The extra charge is 20-50% of the base rate.

8. Who translates my text?
That is a very good question. The answer to this question is the best of the best. We really DO care about quality! If it is a medical text – be sure that one of our MDs will work on it! Legal texts are translated by translators with an education and professional background in law. Technical texts are translated by engineers. All general texts are translated and proofread by translators with years of experience and M.A. and postgraduate degrees in translation and interpretation. We do not work with part-timers or students to reduce costs. We believe in quality and quality is what you will always get!

9. Do you provide certified translations?
Yes, we do. We cooperate with many of the best Polish certified translators of Polish and English (other languages available upon request). According to Polish law, such translation is valid only in the paper version; therefore, we will send you the translation of your document to your address, regardless of whether you live in London, England, London, Canada, or London, Kentucky! We can either use regular postal mail or a courier company (DHL is our delivery company of choice).

10. Can you guarantee that my project will be kept confidential and who sees the documents for translation?
Yes, the projects are 100% confidential and not taken care of by anyone else apart from one of our Project Managers, translator(s), and proofreader.

11. Why use Alpha Translations instead of freelance translator services?
Again – quality and individual approach. We are proud of our procedures, confidentiality, extra proofreading, and experience. We care about your project and we select the translator whose experience and knowledge suit your individual needs best.

12. Is it possible to translate websites?
We would be absolutely happy to do that for you! All you need to do is send us your website’s address and we will let you know the price.

13. How do I know that I will receive quality translation?
Please go to the About Us section of our website to see the list of customers who already know that we provide quality services. We spend lots of time screening the translators that work for us. We also proofread their work in order to make sure that the quality verification process does its job.

14. What types of payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfers, PayPal, and Moneybookers. We can also accept checks, but extra fees may apply when choosing a check as your payment method. We apologize for this inconvenience, but the reason for this is that they are not as popular in Poland as in the US or Canada.

15. Will I receive a VAT invoice?

Yes, always. The VAT rate in Poland is 23%, but it is already included in our prices. There is no option to NOT receive an invoice. After all, two things are certain in life, taxes being the less worrying one. If your company has a European Union (EU) VAT ID just like we do, no VAT applies, so 23% will be deducted from the quote.

16. What if I'm not satisfied with the results?
Then you’re the first one. Let us know what went wrong and we will work something out. Be sure you will not be left alone. Your satisfaction is extremely important to us.

17. How many languages does Alpha Translations support and do you plan on adding additional languages?
Polish is our main working language; however, we also run a professional translation agency in Poland, which offers language services covering over 50 languages. Let us know what you need – we will most probably be able to help.

18. Will I receive machine translation or human translation?
Machine translations, at least those provided by the most publicly available software translators, DO NOT work. Although technology improves, 100% machine translation will most probably not work properly for the next decades. We have never used machine translations for any part of any of our projects. Your translation will be done by a human translator who, unlike a machine, can read between the lines.
